Teachers who have completed their 200hr training qualify for Mukti's 500hr Training. This trainings consists of 100hr Graduate Training and 200hrs of Modules selected by the trainee

Advanced Asana Module - 50 hours

The Advanced Asana module is geared towards advancing your practice and refining your teaching. Learn how to safely and effectively sequence towards peak poses allowing students to experience the fullest potential of each pose. You will learn 8 peak pose sequences and the tools to safely build up to any pose.

In this Advanced Asana module you will learn:

Empowering Teaching Immersion Module - 25 hours

Would you like a new vocabulary of alignment cues to describe asana more directly? Do you want confidence to effectively observe and correct your classroom? Do you crave personal connection with each student in the room through eye contact, physical assists and verbal feedback? Powerful teachers create powerful yoga experiences.

This immersion gives you the knowledge and expertise to truly understand the physiology of asana, as well as tools to help your students understand the same. This deep study of anatomy & movement allows you to better observe bodies in your class to enhance the student experience.

This immersion will empower you to empower your students on their personal practice through:
  • Applicable, meaningful anatomy discussion
  • Practice observing bodies in and out of poses to discover pointed alignment cues
  • Group observation of your practice to discover areas of flexibility/rigidity and strength/weakness in your body
  • Techniques to teach subtle joint and muscle alignment using props and kriyas
  • Tools to determine which assists will be most effective

Chakra Awakening Immersion Module - 25 hours

Are you ready to dive deep into aligning your energy for more awareness through chakra-based work? Would you like to incorporate more energetic themes into your classes? Chakra-based teaching can become cliche, leading many teachers to avoid it all together. This immersion will help you engage fully in your own energetic landscape, providing insight into the power of pointed, effective chakra-based yoga sequencing. Once you have experienced this power for yourself, you will feel ready to teach chakra work in an authentic, congruent and meaningful way.

This immersion will help you unlock the keys to your energetic development through:
  • Workshop-style Chakra themed classes to observe your body and its energy
  • Kriya and pranayama work related to each energy center in the body
  • Relevant information on the cross section between chakra work and Western psychotherapy
  • Enlightening discussion on priming yourself to observe energy in your students
  • Keys for unlocking your intuition as a teacher
  • Language to help you teach from an energetic center in an approachable, practical way
In addition to the group sessions, you will receive 7 weeks of take-home work in order to engage in effective self-evaluation, including:
  • A recorded meditation to do daily

The Therapeutics module explores several orthopedic, auto immune, physiological and mental ailments. This elective is intended to equip teachers with the knowledge to work privately or in group classes with different conditions.

Vinyasa Module - 50 hours

The Vinyasa module is geared towards advancing your practice and refining your teaching. Learn how to safely sequence and teach vinyasa flow classes. Learn to teach alignment and give adjustments while guiding students to dynamically move with the breath.

Yoga for Athletes Module - 25 or 50 hours

The Yoga for Athletes module explores the anatomy and kinesiology of several sports. We will break down the difference between teaching yoga to athletes during pre-season, in-season and the off-season. Visualization, pranayama and meditation specific to athlete will be explored.

In this Vinyasa module you will learn:
  • In-depth study of anatomy
  • Injuries associated with different sports
  • How yoga can prevent and help treat certain injuries
  • How to relate to and speak to athletes
  • What athletes really need from a yoga practice
  • Difference between fast-twitch and slow-twitch muscle fibers

Chakra Vinyasa Module - 50 hours

The Chakra Vinyasa module is geared towards balancing your chakras through vinyasa flow. Learn how to safely sequence and teach vinyasa flow classes based on the chakras. This elective is appropriate for teachers or anyone wanting to deepen their yoga practice and knowledge of the Chakras.

In this Chakra Vinyasa module you will learn and experience:
  • In-depth study of the 7 main chakras in the body
  • How to determine which chakras are dominate and which are inactive in your life
  • Learn sequences based on the chakras
  • Learn nutrition-based ways to balance the chakras
  • Learn to balance the chakras off the mat

Living Yoga Retreat Module - 50 hours

The Living Yoga Retreat module is an ashram-like experience. This retreat will is an experiential training focusing on incorporating the true essence of yoga into your daily life.

In this Living Yoga Retreat module you will experience:
  • Participate in a yogic salt water cleanse (if you are pregnant or have any health contraindications you will be excused from the cleanse)
  • Daily morning pranayama
  • Daily asana practices
  • Daily meditation
  • Vegan meals
  • Cooking lessons
  • Karma Yoga (helping in the kitchen)
  • Kirtan
  • Journaling and vision boards

Silent Kriya Retreat Module - 50 hours

Kriya Yoga is an ancient tantric method in which to delve deeply into the inner working of the mind. Julie studied kriya yoga under Swami Janakanda during a 33 day period of silence while at the ashram for 3 months. She went on to continue studying kriya yoga at the Bihar School of Yoga in India. There will be period of silence during the retreat while learning the kriyas. This elective is for anyone looking to experience discipline and mental clarity.

In the Tantric/Kriya module you will experience:
  • 2-3 hours of early morning Kriyas
  • Daily yoga nidra meditation
  • Daily classical yoga practice
  • Daily meditation
  • Healthy organic vegan meals
  • 3 days of silence (more if you wish)

Yin/Restorative Module - 25 or 50 hours

The Yin/Restorative module is geared towards teaching therapeutic and relaxing yin and restorative. We will explore the benefits of yin and restorative yoga, the ancient meridians and the science of why our society needs this type of yoga. You will also learn how to sequence a yin or restorative class for balancing or stimulating different organs for therapeutic purposes.

In this Yin/Restorative module you will learn to teach:
  • In-depth study of meridians

  • All of the restorative poses
  • Give yin & restorative adjustments
  • Incorporating meditations into your teaching
  • Learn to each yin classes for therapeutic healing

Yoga for Kids - 50 hours

This 50-Hour Kids Module training will provide you with concrete tools to teach Yoga to children and youths ages 3-16. We will explore ways to use childhood development processes, imagination, play, loving discipline, mantra and meditation as a means to introduce/implement root principles (values/morals). With this training, you will have the opportunity to help young people grow into healthy, thriving individuals. A truly rewarding experience!

In this Yoga for Kids module you will learn:
  • How to teach kids yoga for ages 3-16 in a safe, fun, imaginative, playful, educational, and healthy environment.
  • Learn child development stages and how to custom make Kids Yoga classes so that they are suitable for each specific age range.
  • Basic anatomy
  • Mantra & meditation for kids
  • Kids Yoga poses: how to teach, contraindications, games, partner work, imagination.
  • Establish root principles and building blocks to strengthen confidence, self-esteem, making good choices, eating healthy, compassion and love for others and oneself.

This module is for anyone wanting to incorporate the healing and revitalizing aspects of pranayama and meditation in one's life. Waking up before the sun to do a daily sadhana (personal spiritual practice) takes discipline. This training is the perfect way to kickstart the habit! Intuitive Yogi Retreat Module - 25 hours

The IntuitiveYogi Retreat is for anyone wanting slow down and go inward. The focus of the weekend is on opening the body and the intuition. We will delve into yoga, meditation and experience several ways to develop the intuition.

The retreat participants are invited to participate in as little or as much of the activities as they'd like. Mukti teacher trainees are required to participate in all of the sessions to earn 25 hours of training credit.
